ARUKUS / SERVICE OWNERSHIP GUIDE
Give the next response a clear home.
A practical discussion checklist to help business and technology teams evaluate the working process.
Use this guide with representative records and the people responsible for the work. It supports an evaluation discussion; product availability and implementation requirements are confirmed in the walkthrough.
Your evaluation checklist
- Define the types of requests and the teams that can own them.
- Agree minimum information and when clarification is needed.
- Map assignment and escalation responsibilities.
- Distinguish response, resolution and requester confirmation.
- Test reassignment, reopened requests and missing evidence.
- Review queues by age and the reason work is waiting.
- Agree service coverage and targets in the support schedule.
- Use recurring requests to identify process improvements.
Record the decision
For each requirement, note whether it is supported by existing capability, configuration, an integration or additional work. Keep the acceptance example and the person responsible for confirming it.
Bring the exceptions
A returned record or failed handover often reveals more than an ideal demonstration. Include those cases when agreeing scope, rollout and support.
