AI where it helps.
Automation with purpose.

Arukus helps businesses identify practical opportunities for AI and process automation, assess feasibility, develop focused prototypes and plan integration with existing systems. Each engagement is designed around a defined business problem, appropriate human oversight and measurable pilot objectives.

AI & PROCESS AUTOMATION / WORKFLOW LAB

See where intelligence fits into everyday work.

Choose a business task and follow one example from an incoming record to the next action. Rules check what is required. AI prepares useful information. People review the result before an agreed action proceeds.

Receive the record

Start with the submitted request and the information available. Preserve the original so later preparation can be checked against it.

The task to understand
  • Turn a travel receipt and short claim into a reviewable finance record, while keeping the reimbursement decision with the authorised reviewer.
People retain approval, policy exceptions and consequential decisions.

Illustrative workflow using fixed sample content. No AI model is called, document processed, message sent or business record updated. Actual sources, permissions, integrations and review responsibilities are agreed for each pilot.

Three approaches. Different responsibilities.

Choose how the work should move.

01

Workflow rules

Route a complete submission, apply an agreed check or notify the responsible team. A clear condition determines the next step.

02

AI assistance

Extract fields, retrieve approved knowledge or prepare a draft. A person checks the source and decides how to use the result.

03

Supervised agents

Coordinate approved tasks across connected tools. Permissions, review points and stopping conditions define the boundaries.

The approach follows the task. A rules-based workflow can include an AI-assisted step without requiring an agent.

Three ways to improve a process

Rules-based automation follows a defined path: check required fields, route a complete submission and notify the responsible person. It is often the right starting point when the rules are stable and the exceptions are understood.

AI assistance handles work where interpretation is useful. Examples include extracting receipt details, finding an approved policy passage or preparing a response from supplied records. The output needs a review process suited to the consequence of an error.

Agentic AI can coordinate several steps through approved tools. A supervised agent might prepare a task, propose an owner and carry out the approved update. Its permissions and stopping points should be explicit before it can change operational records.

Start small enough to learn

We begin with an existing workflow and a baseline: current review time, incomplete submissions, repeated entry or the age of an unresolved queue. Representative records help test whether the proposed approach makes the work easier without creating more checking elsewhere.

Discovery establishes the source information, user access, connected systems and review responsibilities. A pilot then tests normal cases and exceptions. Model choice, operating costs, data handling and support are scoped for the project. Product-wide AI availability is not assumed.

Opportunities across the business

Finance teams could assess receipt extraction. Support teams could test approved knowledge retrieval and response preparation. Operations teams could explore exception queues and task coordination. Field managers could evaluate visit planning and handover summaries. Audit teams could trial evidence-based drafting.

The benefit must be demonstrated in the workflow concerned. We do not promise a percentage saving before understanding the current process and checking the pilot results.

Planning an AI or automation pilot

How do we decide between workflow rules and AI?

Start with the task. Stable checks and routing rules often suit deterministic automation. Reading varied documents, finding knowledge or preparing a draft may benefit from AI assistance. A pilot tests whether the extra complexity helps.

What should a pilot measure?

Choose measures tied to the current work, such as field accuracy, review effort, incomplete submissions or time to an approved handover. Include mistakes and exceptions in the evaluation.

Are these AI capabilities already included in every product?

No. They describe Arukus’s current development direction and pilot opportunities. Feasibility, availability, integrations and implementation scope are confirmed for the project.
