ARUKUS / ERM REQUIREMENTS GUIDE
Ask how the risk register stays current.
A practical discussion checklist to help business and technology teams evaluate the working process.
Use this guide with representative records and the people responsible for the work. It supports an evaluation discussion; product availability and implementation requirements are confirmed in the walkthrough.
Your evaluation checklist
- Bring the risk taxonomy, scoring approach and risk appetite definitions.
- List KRIs, their owners, thresholds and source systems.
- Review inherent, current and target positions in context.
- Test a breached threshold and the owner’s explanation.
- Keep mitigation plans distinct from ongoing controls.
- Check control-effectiveness review and overdue action reporting.
- Identify departmental and management reporting needs.
- Agree integration sources, update frequency and acceptance criteria.
Record the decision
For each requirement, note whether it is supported by existing capability, configuration, an integration or additional work. Keep the acceptance example and the person responsible for confirming it.
Bring the exceptions
A returned record or failed handover often reveals more than an ideal demonstration. Include those cases when agreeing scope, rollout and support.
