TO EXPLORE
The first design decision is often a process decision: who enters the information, who checks it and what should happen when something is missing. We work through those questions before choosing screens and interfaces.
Arukus develops enterprise web and mobile applications and provides UI/UX design and application modernisation. A project can address a new requirement or replace parts of an existing process that have become difficult to maintain.
During discovery, we agree the users, roles, system connections and acceptance criteria. Working reviews then give the people using the application a chance to test the process before release. Training and support requirements are included in the delivery plan.
Applications that fit the wider business
An application may support customer onboarding, an internal approval, a field report or a departmental service. These needs occur across financial services, distribution, manufacturing and service organisations. We assess the process, users and device conditions before agreeing the delivery approach.
Where a focused Arukus product already addresses the requirement, we can assess that first. Custom engineering is useful when the workflow, user experience or system connections need to be designed specifically for the organisation.
Make the release useful to its users
User acceptance should test complete tasks, including missing information, rejected submissions and handovers. Clear labels, readable screens and appropriate permissions matter as much as the underlying technology. Discuss an application requirement with an example of the work your team needs to complete.
Planning the engagement
What should we bring to the first discussion?
Bring a process example, current system information and the people who own the work. A returned record or failed handover helps establish the difficult cases.
How is the scope agreed?
The proposal identifies deliverables, assumptions, acceptance criteria and the responsibilities of each team. New requirements are assessed through an agreed change process.
What happens after release?
Handover, stabilisation and continuing support are specified in the engagement. Coverage and service targets are agreed rather than assumed.
